STRESS BUSTERS CERTIFICATE PROGRAM: How to Practice “Safe Stress” at Work

Summary: The world is supercharged with stress these days. Here we discuss how to “practice safe stress” at work and at home. Better yet, you can get a certification in stress management to help others do better too.

Dear Dr. Sylvia,

Several of my colleagues at work are now on extended leave because their stress is over the top.

For example, one person in particular would cry every time someone asked her to “move faster” on her project.

Another, a yeller, would shake and use colorful language that has no place at work.

A third was blurry eyed all day. He stayed up most of the night to get his projects “just right” to please her boss.

I want to help since I am CHRO (Chief Human Resource Officer). However, I need more ideas on what to do.

I appreciate any help you can give me.

Signed,

Trouble Breathing!

Learn to practice “safe stress” at work and at home

Dear Trouble Breathing,

Firstly, stop!

That’s it, just stop and take deep breaths.

You cannot help if you are also under the influence of extreme stress.

This will be short and to the point.

The way OUT of extreme stress is to OBSERVE, UNDERSTAND, and TRANSFORM the behavior patterns that get in the way of successfully dealing with conflict and uncertainty.

We do not take a deep enough dive into the underlying causes of stress

I am sending you a complimentary copy of my book “Invisible Stress: It’s NOT What YOU Think!” and if you find it helpful I suggest you sign up to get my four module Stress Mastery online program.

In fact, I think you should go for the certification program and facilitate Stress Mastery for various teams at work.

I guarantee it will help.

To your success,

Sylvia Lafair

PS. The Stress Mastery Certification Program includes time with me or one of my coaches to give you pointers on how to engage employees to move past constant upset and fatigue.
